Grandpa Nielsen a fond farewell
My sweet Grandpa passed away on February 2nd, 2010. He had suffered a long battle with cancer and finally it won his physical battle here on Earth. He is now reunited with my beautiful Grandmother Beth and awesome Mother Cari. He will be missed. He was a great man and taught me a lot about life. His last words to me were so precious and honest. Thanks for everything you taught me Grandpa. I love you.

Babysitting Our Adorable Cousins!
This past weekend we went to our cousin Chandra & Matt's home in Ogden and babysit their children. Chandra is such an awesome cousin of ours... when we saw her post on facebook that she needed a babysitter, we jumped at the chance. We are really glad we did. We had a lot of fun with her five children....Olivia, Kaia, Amber, Kenneth and Samuel. We watched "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs", made homemade pizza where the kids got to put their own toppings on their own little pizzas and we also made sugar cookies. The kids had a lot of fun and so did we!! Thanks for letting us babysit your kids Chan and Matt. We love you guys!

Christmas Traditions
This Christmas season we decided to keep up with our traditions. Our most expensive tradition is our carriage ride in Salt Lake. It usually costs 50 or 60 dollars. We really enjoy it. When we first got married we decided that this would be one of our traditions. We were really glad we kept up with the tradition, and will continue to do so. It was hard being able to spend the money on something that wasn't "necessary", but at the same time that was all we got each other for Christmas, so it was good to do. We love seeing the lights around Temple Square at Christmas time, as well as getting to cuddle and just having the expierence. Thank goodness for "chocolate jars" filled with coins that paid for this Christmas.

MISC pics from the Mesa Temple during Christmas
Shane and I went with Austin and Meghan the night before their wedding to view the lights at the Mesa Temple. It was absolutely amaizing!!!! I loved every second of it. I heart the Mesa Temple. If it wasn't so darn hot there in the summer I would probably move there just to live by it...and the McNaughton's of course '-)

The AWESOME Mesa Temple
Shane and I were fortunate enough to attend our friend Austin's wedding in December. He and Austin have been friends for going on 11 years. They are two peas in a pod. They even joke and say they are brothers. Austin has lived with us off and on a few times in the past 8 years. He is considered family by Shane and I. Many of you may know this is my favorite temple on Earth. Austin was married to his sweetheart Meghan on December 12th, 2009 in the Mesa Arizona temple. The wedding was absolutely stunning, the spirit was so strong. The Patriarch gave a lot of wise advise and counsel that Shane and I took home and used in our own marriage. Austin and Meghan we love you. Thanks for being such great parts of our life.

A new job!!!!!!!!
Today was absolutely terrific!! I got offered a wonderful job with American Express. It is going to pay me very nicely, it has tuition reimbursement for school and of course health, dental and vision. Another perk is it is a 5 minute commute!! It is 1.3 miles from the house we are living at. I start October 12th and I know Shane and I are both counting down the days!!!! We both thanked God, this is an answer to our prayers :)
